Planet Fitness Locations in North Quincy, MA – Yellow Pages Planet Fitness – Gyms – 50 Adams St, Quincy, MA – Yelp this is because a lot of energy is required to rebuild your muscle tissue after a workout. Ill also add that training to gain strength/muscle burns a lot more fat than doing cardio. you can stick to these machines if you want to build muscle but they are inefficient at doing so compared to freeweights. Planet fitness is like 80% crazy machines. however planet fitness doesnt look favorably on such actions. Lifting weights is hard, sometimes it is unavoidable if you need to drop/slam weights simply because of the nature of the movements, and additionally how dangerous they can be. If youre looking into gaining some muscle to "tone" after you build some good cardiovascular fitness and lose some weight, planet fitness may not be a gym you want to be at. if you dont want to do any weightlifting at all then stay at planet fitness, but dont expect to be doing the couch to 5k plan properly on a treadmill. I can tell you are really buttmad cos im not even the guy you were meant to respond to before. Are there any other things to consider before looking into Planet Fitness? I just want a place I can put my headphones on and just walk/jog/run for 30 min to an hour a day. I honestly do not care about that because I really don't want to hear someone screaming while lifting. My problem though is that I see a lot of people give Planet Fitness so much crap mostly for their policies about weight lifters. I am currently looking at local gyms and will call and ask for membership rates but I am interested in Planet Fitness purely because it $10 a month and all it is for is cardio which is all I want. I am looking for something basic and CHEAP! I don't have a lot of income right now so cheap is better for me. I want to join a gym and use is simply for cardio to start working off some of my weight then possible later later on doing some weight lifting to tone, not looking for crazy machines and bench pressing a 500lbs! Hi I am 260lbs male who is trying to get off the couch.
